Paracetamol information

Paracetamol is a good painkiller for dental pain but is dangerous if you take to much. Too much paracetamol can cause fatal damage to the liver. The liver damage can happen without you knowing or feeling sick.

Here is how to use paracetamol safely.

STEP 1

Always read the label on your pain medicine. Do not take two medicines which contain paracetamol at the same time.

STEP 2

Take your medicine in the way advised on the packet. When you are in pain or tired it is easy to forget when you last took a dose of medicine. You may find it helps to make a note when you take each dose. This is very important if you are taking more than one type of medicine.

STEP 3

Do not take more than 8 tablets which contain paracetamol in 24 hours. If you think you have taken more then please seek urgent medical advice.
